Jacob Williams an AHSAA Top Performer

AHSAA LogoThe Alabama High School Athletic Association lists Phillips High's Jacob Williams as a Top Performer for Week 6 of the 2009 football season.

The junior receiver caught 12 passes for 223 yards and one TD – a 74-yard touchdown – as the Bears beat Vina 30-0.

The 223 yards receiving ranks as the 19th best all-time in Alabama prep history for any classification. The mark equaled the performance in 1994 by Flomaton's Jeff Hammond in a game against Frisco City.
